A chance to examine all aspects of Supporting Families with out of Guidelines Care: Considering reasons why families choose it, looking at "evidence", feeling the pressure (both the birthworkers and the families) and the impact that has on care. What birthworkers can do to protect themselves from legal issues, and finding peace with care that isn't fitting with a hospital policy. Lets talk about what "Joint" decision making actually is. With Case studies to examine across the day and reflection points for revalidation - this study day covers it all

Cancellation Policy
By Booking to attend this course you agree and understand the following: “I understand this course is designed to train birth professionals, including but not exclusively, doctors, midwives, doulas, physiotherapists, chiropractors, yoga instructors and others, solely to support couples during antenatal / labour and postnatal times. It does not equip participants to train colleagues and it is a condition of acceptance on the course that participants agree not to use any materials and information from the course for any purpose other than for their own Professional Development”. Booking & Cancellations The study day includes reflective sessions and group discussions, to get the most out of this opportunity the number of people taking part will be limited. To secure a place on the study day, we ask for either full or 50% payment on booking. In the event of the study day being cancelled by the organiser participants will be entitled to a full refund. Participants who cancel their bookings will be entitled to a 50% refund if cancelled 4 weeks prior to the course dates but fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after this time except in cases of extreme personal reasons, ill health or sudden professional demands. Data Protection Act Nicola Witcombe will only use information you provide in accordance with 2018 Data Protection Act legislation. It will be used to administer this course and we will retain your name and e-mail address to send you follow up information and occasional news. Any other information will be removed from our records.
